have i got bad true?

I just got my new true, but on a close examin it looks like the heatpipes are poorly soldered to the fins. could this really be or am i just paranoid??

there is a clearly visible ring of solder on 3 of the pipes and half once on 2 and the rest looks unsoldered.

dont worry about that.

if anything you should be worried about the base.

Sorry but thermalright doesnt know what flat base means.

EVen there flagship sink, the IFX-14 needed a good hour lap job.

I agree with aigomorla,

I'm a TRUE user and my base was not flat I had to lap it. It took awhile but the results will be worth it to you. See my PC page in my sig for details

well i kinda expected it not to be flat so no suprise there. I have been reading alot of posts on this cooler.

That's pretty sad for a company that prides itself on having the highest end air cooling on the market.
