Have DVD's been going down in quality lately?

Just got the A-team season 2 and this is the 3 set of DVDs Ive tried in the last 3 weeks that has quality problems. Halfway through the disk starts to skip and then just wont play. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Do you seem to be getting more defective DVDs than normal?

I've had two Panasonic DVD players fail that way.

I bought x-men on DVD when it first came out. It wouldn't play in a dvd-rom or a dvd player, but it would play in a PS2. There's always going to be defective media being produced. Just exchange it.

probably a sh*tty player. i rent and buy plenty of discs...only time they don't work is when they are cracked

Yeah, exchange it. I have the occasional original DVDs that would skip no matter which I player I put it in.

Try some of your older DVDs you know work and see if they skip

Once they started putting previews at the beginnings of DVDs, yes, DVDs are the suX0r.

As far as quality of the DVD itself, no problems here.

A crappy player can cause your problem. It could also be that it is failing on you if it's doing this with other discs.
