Alright, just shelled out $650 for a 980 Ti yesterday. Now I'm on the hunt for a monitor. Now, I could just get a U2415 when it goes on sale ($250) and be okay with it. I'd miss out on some stuff but I'd be back to dual monitors at least and both would be the same resolution (that's nice). It would still be good for photography work and productivity. However, I did want to try something that was good for gaming since I already have a U2413 (and an i1 display pro to calibrate it (although I never use the thing because the software is TERRIBLE)).
Thoughts? I was eyeballing the new ASUS Swift PG279Q but it's $800 (huge step up in price) and I've never seen a g-sync or freesync monitor in person. (I don't think I've ever really seen a high refresh rate monitor in person either?) However, I'm interested and considering it. Clearly g-sync is the way to go if I go this route.
