I already have the BFG 7800GTX OC and was interested in going SLI (already have Seasonic 600 and X2 at 2640) but noticed that unlike all the other 7800's its price is still over 500. Should I go with one X1900XT/7900 (my 7800 is watercooled and the X1900XT would be as well) or wait and see if the BFG drops in price? The reason I would like SLI is that I have the 2405fpw.

What do you all think? I am debating seriously. I am leaning more toward the 7900 series just because I already have the SLI board but I will be going AM2 later this year (possibly) and may get a crossfire board.

I can't see spending 550 dollars for a BFG 7800GTX OC when for less than that I can get the X1900XT(X) or upcoming 7900 512.

You can get an eVGA 7800GTX on Newegg for $434 but yeah that wouldn't be a good deal either since 7900 may come out this week. But the X1900XT when overclocked should be able to handle many games at 1920x1200 . . .

My advice is to periodically check the FS/FT forums if you decide to SLI. Won't run you $500 there I'm sure.

I recently bought mine at FS/FT, new in box for $345 (eVGA-7800GTX with AC3), shipped from a guy who just bought x1900xt.
