I just got a Sprint iPhone 5 last night*, and it works great at home 15/5 (up/down) on LTE at home, but at work, all of 1.5 miles away, although I have 3 bars of both 3G and LTE, the internet doesn't work.

Google.com won't load and iMessages won't send, that's how much the internet isn't working.

Obvious answer is, return the phone, which I might. I was on StraightTalk yesterday, and although it was slow as all get out, I could at least load pages.

I just want to make extra sure that there isn't anything else that I could be doing, the fact that I have signal, but can't get on the internet is just weird. I have 3 days to return the device without penalty, then I have to pay a restocking fee or something.

*My friend gets a wicked good corp discount, the cost differential between StraightTalk and Sprint was only a couple hundred bucks over 2 years, which seemed worth it.

This may be weird to ask but have you checked settings?

Settings > General > Cellular

Settings > General > Cellular

What settings should I be looking for exactly? Settings are currently:

Cellular > ON
Cellular Data > ON
Enable LTE > ON
Roaming > Voice Only

Like I said, LTE works fine from home. At work, it SAYS I have 3 bars, and I can make calls, but data isn't working. There are people here with Verizon 3G and 4G devices and they can get online with those, so I figured that Sprint wouldn't be an issue.

Mystery solved!

I had restored from my iPhone 4's (Which was GSM on StraightTalk) backup, which screwed up my network settings. I just reset them, and it's all good now.
