Have any prices come out on the 2009 VW Jetta TDI?

If I can double my highway mileage and not spend 25k on a Prius, I'll happily be a rat 🙂

Canadian pricing for a base TDI was announced to be $25,575 for the sedan. Currently, the most expensive base engine Jetta in Canada is the one with the highline package, which retails for $27,475.

The comparable loaded Jetta in the states is the SEL, which retails for $22,900. I'd like to think that logically, the TDI would fall under that price, but I think that might be a little optimistic.
