I actually signed up for the Xbox Live beta test thinking I wouldnt get in with a friend and both of us did. Both of us didnt have an xbox. So after the material arrived, I bought the xbox from eb.

Yes, bought a second PS2 after my first one gave out after a few years just to play Gran Turismo 4.

Nintendo64 for Zelda (Ocarina of Time). I sold it after getting every single object in the game twice. It was worth every penny to buy it. I had already played plenty of Mario Kart and Goldeneye at my friends' house by then, otherwise I probably would've done the same thing for them instead.

Depends how old the game/console is. Some of the example combinations in this thread could probably be had for under $50

Guess you're right, I was thinking of current generation consoles. A SNES system with games can be aquired pretty cheaply.
