Have any luck with the X-Fi beta driver for Vista RC1?

I'm running 64-bit RC1. The Soundblaster X-Fi beta driver is not "digitally signed" so I get lots of errors when installing the software. In the end the SB X-Fi shows up in the device manager with a yellow exclamation mark. Right-clicking on device, choose update driver, and directing the proper path to the driver folder does not work either.

Anybody in the same situation who has better luck than I?

I gave up getting this to work a good while back. For a short time Windows Update tried to fix the issue, but the instal failed and MS quickly pulled the patch. No word on when we'll get a driver that works, but I do have sound via my motherboard for now 🙂

Mine works but the sound leaves a lot to be desired. The card crackles a lot under Vista with the beta drivers, which doesn't happen in XP.

Well, cripes. 🙁 Looks like I'm gonna have to wait 'til the official release then. At least for now, the built-in mb sound will have to do.

You have to disable the signed driver check at every boot (F8) to run unsigned drivers on Vista x64 now. I have to do the same thing for my Audigy 2.

Edit: I'm actually using the XP64 drivers for my card, because as far as I can tell the Vista drivers are far less feature-complete at this point. I'm not sure if the same thing applies to the X-fi...
