I found a good deal on these clubs, and I am actually going out to check it out either tomorrow before work, or tonight after work. It's the Nike 450cc sized drivers that they have on sale for $150. I have hit the 460cc driver, but that thing is $400.

I would just like to know if anyone here has used these drivers before. Please, no bashing on Nike clubs. I jut want to know if anyone has hit these and how they felt, thanks.

EDIT: the model name is "450cc Nike Forged Titanium Driver"

I worked at a Nike Golf sponsored pro shop in Syracuse, NY. Having hit the Titleist 975J and the 983K, the Nike drive is filled with dense foam. I personally dont like the sound it made when the ball hit. And it doesnt go as far as the Titleists. If you are looking for a cheap but nice club, I would look into the King Cobra or even the Taylor Made R540. Both I believe are around the 200 dollar range. But I didnt like the Nike driver. I hit the Pro combo irons and I love those.

The club is ok, but the stock shaft is crap.
For the money, go ahead and get a custom built driver to the specs you want. Pick a component head (SMT, Bang, Alpha) and get a shaft that fits your swing. You can get a nice driver custom built for $150.

I've hit the 350 .. I like it.

I figure the 450 would be like swinging a watermelon .. that thing has to be huge.

Yeah... 450cc's must be huge.
Nobody can tell you what club is right for you, you should just go and take a couple of swings with it.

450cc is huge, but you'd be surprised at how quickly the eye adapts. It seems like a watermelon on the first day, like a cantelope by the end of the 2nd round and like an ordinary golf club by the end of the 3rd. For almost all players, bigger is better. Go as large as the rules allow (currently 460cc +/- 10cc) and learn to hit it. The larger sweet spot is worth a slight learning curve.

Uppsala is right though, Nikes are crap and the stock shaft is a piece of junk. If you want a high quality stick, visit a clubmaker. A Bang or SMT with a quality shaft will outperform a Nike for way less money. $100 buys a good component driver and $150 will get you an excellent one.
