Well I went out yesterday and got an xbox, 2nd controller, Project Gotham, and Moto GP. I didn't get a chance to use it much last night though but one of the first thing I did notice was the video quality didn't impress me. Everybody looked kinda fuzzy. Obviously they take all their screenshots from HDTVs :(
Anyway do you guys use the Monster Cable S-video cable or the standard microsoft composite ones? I know the monster cables are overpriced but they've gotta be better than the $9 generic ones I've seen. ;)
I'm also trying to decide if I want to return the 2nd controller and get a controller S... the damn things are huge and kinda awkward... I'll wait a couple days on that though maybe my thumb will adjust to that diamond pattern.

Also I'm probably going to get some sort of AV Switch so I don't have to keep switching cables around behind my TV. When I was @ bestbuy the other day they had a $30 one and a $80 Sony. How much do these things degrade quality? It's either one of those or a lot of Y adapters. ;)

Well it was like that on both my 27" RCA Tube TV and my bro in laws 48" Toshiba? Projection TV. Like I said I only got to use it for about 30 minutes so maybe I was just too picky after seeing all the HDTV screenshots online. I'll give it a more thorough workout tonight. ;)

Those Monster cables are crap....I noticed no difference in quality although I just used the regular AV and not the S-video. You could buy it and try it out but all in all they aren't worth it

Howitis that's component cables (for HDTVs) Composite cables aka RCA cables are Red, White, and Yellow.

I went out and bought the Microsoft s-video cable kit and it made a HUGE difference... maybe my stock composite cables were bad or something. Also got that sony switch and exchanged the controller for a S version... much better now. :)
