Have an idea, is this doable? (audio streaming)

Let's say I have two computers with two monitors on a LAN. I have a TV card in computer 2. I want to display the video to computer 2's monitor, but I want to stream the audio over the LAN to computer 1, and output it on the speakers attached to computer 1. Is this possible? How would I do it?

Probaby yes, but not without a lot of work. The Windows Media Encoder is one program that's not terribly hard to set up, that may let you set up a media server to serve the audio stream to a WMP client on the other end.

You also have to take into account that there will be a significant delay between the audio and video if you do this.

True, I had forgotten about the audio stream buffering messing up the synchronization between the audio and the video. Thus, the Windows Media Encoder option would only work if you were sending both the audio and the video over the network to another computer.
