I had ubuntu on my computer and I used it regularly. But it wont support my new monitor. So, I used a gparted live-cd to delete the linux swap and ext3 partitions and then I made my ntfs partition larger. but now GRUB boot loader gives me an "error 22"... Windows wont even boot and I need to stick in my gparted cd since gparted had GRUB built in and I can run grub off the CD. I cant even start my windows partition without that cd. It just goes to the GRUB on my hard drive without the gparted cd. Does anyone know what to do?
I really dont want to depend on the gparted cd.

Sounds like you need to restore the master boot record and boot sector. If you have an XP install CD boot off of it and enter the recovery console, then execute the FIXBOOT and FIXMBR commands. See if that does it.
