this probably won't interest most people...but its been bothering me that my phone supports mp3 ringtones but the application support isn't in place where i can download them...so now i can make my own ringtones...w00t

Use mp3cutter. It just cuts the mp3 file without the lossy conversion of mp3 to wav to mp3 again. Of course, you won't notice the difference on your phone speakers. Still, it's free and easy to use.

I just use a cable and p2ktools to transfer files.

us cellular has that capability locked...they want you to spend .25c a picture and a couple dollars a ringtone, rather than just do it yourself... :roll:

and they don't even give you an app to download anything but standard polyphonics...no mp3 tones

What do you mean locked? With the right driver, your phone is read as a storage device by Windows. Then you can use MSS, p2ktools, PST, or Moto PhoneTools to ul and dl from your phone.

In any case, you can always flash your phone so all your features are unlocked.
