Have a question about BFG Technologies RMA policy...

I recently purchased a "new" 6800 OC from an Anandtech member made by BFG tech, and after receiving the it would not work even after doing everything BFg told me to do over the phone. So, they setup an RMA and sent me a single email which did not contain where to ship my card. I only had a way to confirm the RMA and to check the status of the RMA. They said it would take about 5 business days to complete the whole process which was back on 3/6/07.

So, here it is 3/16/07 and no card. I call them up and ask them for the shipping info to which they asked if I received my RMA confirmation email, and I told them yes. They said the shipping info is the email but I have read through it about 50 or so times even had other people read it as well.

I have also heard that BFG will ship the replacement card first, but they require a credit card. Does anyone know how the BFG RMA process works and can explain it to me. =(

Thanks

If they ship it first, the process is an Advanced RMA. I've done it plenty of times with Dell and for hard drives.

I say just call them back and ask them to give you the shipping information because it's not in the e-mail.

Also, I doubt it takes 5 business days to complete the whole process. It'll probably take them a couple of days after receiving it to process the card, then they'll have someone who will test and diagnose the problem, and then they'll ship out the new one. More like 2 weeks until you get the new card.
