Have a presentation to do about music

Tomorrow's humanities class I am presenting a song of my choice to the class and speaking (very very briefly) about it. I am having a very difficult time deciding on a song. My initial choice after some thought was Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, as it is one of my all-time favorite songs and would have no problem presenting it. However, the song is seven or eight (in between?) minutes long, and she was cutting people off after a few minutes. I definitely don't want to only show a PORTION of such a great song like that. They'd miss the awesome solo.

So I've been going through a bunch of more recent rock music, some oldschool punk, "punk rock" / "pop-punk" and calmer modern rock. I'm leaning more towards the punk-related songs as they're typically shorter (ok, The Decline by NOFX is an exception).

I can't seem to choose though. Too many songs would bore the class, even if I like it. I need help.

I was thinking of playing some BigWig ("1-800-Whipped" (punk-ska), or "Sellout" (Punk)), but the vocals aren't that awesome for showing to a class, but I really like some of their guitar solos. Dammit...

Okay, I'm thinking I might settle with Give it Back (Lagwagon). This song has amazing bass lovin' in it IMO, as well as nice accompanying guitar and drums. And also, the vocals don't sound like sh*t. Excellent high-paced song I think, and would probably sound talented-like to the un-tamed ear. 😛

What do you think?
