What board should I get for this that could overclock 2 600s to 800?

Other options such as UDMA66 or IDE RAID aren't really too necessary, as I only run an IDE DVD-ROM and everything else is on the SCSI card.

Take a look at ASUS' CUVX4-D or CUVX4-DLS (with onboard lan & scsi). VIA694x chipset, ATA100.
I'm ordering just the -D version by Wed, & use dual 750's oc'd to 133 fsb for a smooth dual 997 mhz smoker.

Just looked that up, but it's a dual FCPGA board, and I was hoping to keep my current 600, which is a slot1, I just reread my topic, and it didn't make that totally clear.

I'll keep it in mind if I decide to break down and spend the money to go FCPGA though.

can I just butt in to ask if your p3 600 is a cBO stepping or not. I'm only asking because for SMP you'll need 2 cBO or cCO processors as the cA2 stepping didn't support SMP! :frown:

You can mix steppings, and its even supported by intel, i posted link the other day that has a pdf file, around page 14 there is a chart, and lots of processors have been tested with mixed steppings and labeled ok to use.

edit: i cant spell.

I think it is a CB, can't remember for sure though, I'll have to check it. But even then, I could get the board and use single proc for a while, then buy another, then another, the proc I have could always just upgrade the other machine, just trying to not buy a board AND CPU right now.

Half the reason for doing this is that the other computer's mobo died, so I figured I may as well upgrade mine to a dual, and move mine down.
