So, I graduated from DeVry with a CET bachelors a few months ago.

Go ahead and rag on DeVry all you want, I am used to it.

Sooo... now I want to get a non-technical degree, just because I can, for free, since my employer has great tuition reimbursement.

Do you think I could transfer my gen ed classes to a "real" school, and only take the History Classes (plus some more probably), and get a Bachelors of History?

I know, I could get a Masters... but I really like History and I doubt I could get into a Master's History program with a DeVry degree.

I don't know about the transfers, but you can get as many degrees as you want. Education = power! :)

Depends on the school. I know some schools will not accept credits from DeVry. You'll have to contact individual schools you are interested in to find out.

Generally if the school will accept your credits, you wouldn't need to take any general courses again, only the courses you'd need to get the bachelors you are going for.

I have two bachelors, one in music and one in comp sci. (neither from DeVry :))

Shop around a bit. Schools vary WIDELY in what transfers and what doesn't.

I'm getting my second bachelors. Got the first in engineering and now I'm going for a BSN.
