I have heard of Disk Spanner...but what do you all use to put a program on two or more zip disks?

I am downloading that new Voyager FPS demo and want to take it to another computer.

Why not use PK Zip and compress it. A 15mb reduction in size shouldn't be too hard.

Even if it doesn't compress, WinZip allows splitting archives across disks.

There's a FREE, super easy to use program called HJ Split that will split the file up into whatever sized parts you want. I'd suggest you just .ace .rar or .zip it up though, depending on what kind of file it is it should fit.

it can't be zipped more......downloads are already compressed for us :)

anyway, you can use this program:

http://hjem.get2net.dk/hl/misc/winsplit.zip

it's german, but should be pretty self-explaining. choose your file, the size of each of the split files (or choose to split in two) and click "Teilen" (scissors button). there! when you wanna patch 'em up, just run the program, click the small .wsp file that's created, and click "Kitten".

Use Winzip to span it across the two disks. You may have to unzip it, & then re-create the archive starting on disk 1, but Winzip will definitely do it.
