Have $88

I was thinking maybe a new mobo or case. I really don't have enough in there to buy much. I have a plain white case so thats long overdue. Also have a Shuttle AK31 3.0 which is suppost to take up to the latest AMD XP+. Is there any point in upgrading to a new mobo? Any performance increase maybe? I do have a ATA133 HDD which ain't being used.

Check out my rig.

A new motherboard really won't be much faster than the one you've got. Its based on the KT266A chipset, and the KT333 and KT400 chipsets are only about 3-5% faster, which isn't even enough to notice. You could upgrade your CPU to a XP1900+, but unless you use a lot of SSE-optimised applications, it really won't be all that much faster than your 1.4 TBird. If you use a lot of memory intensive apps, then you might consider upgrading to 512MB of RAM. Otherwise, a new case might be your best upgrade.

Look at the Evercase screwless at Newegg et al. Unless you want a door on the front like Antec, I haven't seen a better thought out case anywhere. I would probably pick the bare black/silver case and use the Enhance 350W or Allied 400W PSUs.

You can get a low end aluminum case for that amount shipped. Do a pricewatch search for "aluminum case" to see all your options. They supposedly keep your system running cooler. I don't know how true that is though.
