Have $300, what video card?

I was looking at the 9700 Pro but those are fading away from the market and Best Buy and newegg aren't carrying them. Actually, newegg still has a few retail ones but thats it. Any idea when the 9800 non pro prices will fall? I don't want to go for the 9600 Pro or the 9500 Pro if I can find it because they won't perform anything like the 9800, especially in Doom 3.

imho go get a 9500 pro/9700np they defently rock! They are faster then a Ti4600/5600 and they arnt that much in price (sub $200). They are sickning cards, ima try to get a 9500 pro when i get some extra cash (when ever that will come!) I would save the extra $100 and save for a new cpu/ram/mobo and with a 9500pro u can play doom 3, HL2. Dont make the mistake and get a reg 9500 like i did, get a PRO its worth it!

go to the For Sale / Trade forum. U can get a 9800Pro for ~$320 ... well worth it!
