So I read about how the new 7200.10 HD's will prolly smoke a single raptor in performance. I have a pair of old 37 gb raptors which Id like to use in my new computer.

I also have a 320gb 7200.10 Barracuda.

Should I put my OS on the barracuda and setup the raptors in raid and put games on em? or vice versa?

Raptors are pretty fast, You could Raid them but another option is to use each separate. Set up one as the location for your page dat file, the other for apps/games.

You end up with a balanced disk subsystem that will use all three drives on separate channels

doubt it. hdd doesn't affect performance in games except level loading time or unless you have very litle ram. put the os and games on the raptors in raid. use the barracuda for storage.

I got the 36 gig raptor for windows and programs, 74 gig one for games and the 7200 rpm drives for storage.
It is true that the larger 7200 drives get almost to the speed of the raptor, but the seek times and the read/write speed towards the end of the drive the raptor is much better.
