Hauppauge WinTV v7...

I get audio hitching with an i7 920 (@3.2GHz/1600) and this USB TV tuner in Vista x64. Hauppauge has been absent (no replies to emails). This software has a "live tv" option to allow the user to pause/record TV, but i have it disabled. Also the remote control doesnt work (again Hauppauge has ignored me). If someone has a solution or a recommendation for an alternative Hauppauge i would appreciate it.

What version on Vista do you have? If you have Home Premium or Ultimate, then try using Windows Media Center instead of the Hauppauge program.

I have Ultimate, i will give that a shot, but the remote is just for Hauppauge. More hardware to purchase?

I would hope Hauppauge would use a Media Center compatible remote.

Im not sure about the remote, but now that i used Media Center i really dislike how it works. Image quality is significantly degraded and if i mute MC it mutes ALL applications. I like that Vista allows separate volume control for separate apps, but why does MC control all of them with muting?
