Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150

I accidentily bought the OEM version of this card for Windows MCE. Is it possible to install this card on a Windows 2000 system and download the software from the Hauppauge website to make it functional?

I dont think so.

It's either MCE or third party software, BeyondTV, SageTV.

I have MCE 2005 and the MCE version of the card. I Hauppauge has what looks like viewing SW on their website, I downloaded, but didn't install it.

I can tell you that the free DScaler will run the card just fine, at least on XP and I don't see why DScaler wouldn't run on win2k. Google for it or look for it on Sourceforge.net .

I have the same card, MCE version and it runs on my regular XP Pro system just fine. I don't see why WIN2k would be any different. I just use WINTV2000 and all their other software including the Scheduler... it works great for me.

Its the TV software that comes with the hauppauge cards.

yes it works just fine.. the MCE juist means its certified to work with MCE perfectly..

i have both and i tested my card on MCE and without..
just go to the manufatures website and pull the app and the drivers down

Yes, absolutely.
I ran a pvr250 on xp pro for a couple years before moving to the fvcked up mess that is MCE.
