Ordered one with the 10% coupon that is out there. $49.99 AC/AR (plus tax on $89.99). Coupon starts today -- 06/30/05.

For $49.99 I couldn't pass on this either. Mine is waiting for me at my store now.

How the heck do you buy it for store pickup?

Unfortunately it doesn't appear you can order online for in store pickup.

So you'll probably need to print this (I would suggest using a black and white laser printer) and bring it to CC B&M.

Heads up, i bit on this deal a while back, maybe 15 weeks ago.

the CC rebate came in about 8 weeks BUT the rebate that comes from Haupauge has yet to arrive andtheres' no way to check the status..

its about 6 weeks overdue, i can preatty much right it off as a loss.

head this warning...

I just telephoned Hauppauge at 800-443-6284 (this is the number listed at the bottom of the rebate form from CC's website). I spoke to a sales rep who gave me the number of their rebate dept. The number is 631-434-1600 X336 with days and hours of M-F 8:30am to 3:30pm eastern time.

Could someone point me to the rebate forms? I got this Friday,
but didn't have time to get the forms, now I can't find them.

Thanks,

Rob

Got the last one on the shelf at my local CC. They even let me use the 10% coupon to knock it down another $10 dollars. Thanks OP for the deal. Just wish that CC would not pull items off their site and make you drive to their stores, which was a 45 min drive for me.

Ditto, but for the long drive.

I'm hoping now for a good deal tomorrow at Fry's for BeyondTV.

I must be slow, but I can't find the coupon on any of my normal channels....can anyone PM me or help me with this?

nm....i am slow but i found it.....

Also anyone own or use the VisionTek Xtasy Theatre 550?

Unfortunately, you can't play directly to a TV with the 150. Does anyone know how I can? I have a video card with a round plug. I don't know what it's for but I think it's to connect to a TV.

Also, I subscribed to TitanTV and oddly enough, you can click on a menu item (TV Program) and it places an entry into the Scheduler.

You can try SageTV first and see if you like it. The give you a 15 day free trial. If not, go with MCE. There are positives and negatives to both. You can only use up to 2 tuner cards with MCE, more with Sage. MCE is easier to configure (in my opinion), Sage is more customizable. MCE saves in it's own proprietary format (you can still burn to DVD), Sage creates .mpg files. I've tried both. I'm currently running MCE but am thinking of switching back. Check out the forums at Sage to see what you may be getting into. I haven't tried their absolute latest version but it's worth giving a shot. Oh one more thing, MCE only lets you save to one drive. Sage lets you specify multiple drives, folders. That's my main reason for possibly switching back. I just noticed that the other day.

Check over at the green button - there's a registry hack to allow you to have multiple hard drives with MCE2005. I think it involves downloading a Microsoft powertoys utility for MCE2005, and then setting things up accordingly.

The round plug is s-video, a typically used connection from video card -> TV. It will work fine.

TitanTV integrates with the recording application for lots of the various TV software out there. Pretty slick.

how does the recorded mpegs look for you guys? does it look exactly the same as livetv? i have no problems watching livetv, but when i record a show the recorded mpeg's have a white tint. when i turn on the timeshift mode it does the same thing. anyone have the same problem?

All in all I'm not thrilled with the performance of this card, but I guess for the price it records stuff for me.

Has anyone tried to use the full selection of buttons on the Hauppauge remote?
I was hoping the "Guide" button would open the TitanTV website. Are these buttons programmable?

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out. I know it's there somewhere but the site's a bit slow.
