Hauppauge Remote not working

I have a Hauppauge HVR-1600 or something like that... anyway.

When I got it, had everything working just fine, remote worked great.

Now it dont work at all.

I replaced the batteries and Reset IR in the Hauppauge options menu and it still does not work. Anyone help on this?!?
 
So what has happened or changed in the system between the remote working and not working? Any updates been added, programs deleted, or anything like that?
