anyone have any experience with this card? I'm looking for a gift for my sister and she has a laptop. There's also a version of this card that doesnt have the remote or radio... and is alot less. The reviews and comments on htpcnews are pretty favorable... but the comments on amazon are horrid.

I just bought the Hauppauge PVRUSB2. Great device. NO issues at all. It is the same card as the PVR-250 only USB vs. PCI, hardware decoder so it uses VERY little CPU while in use. The cheaper card is NOT hardware decoder card so CPU useage will be much higher and some HTPC software will only work with hardware decoding cards. GP
