I used to have an external USB HD. This external HD was partitioned into partitions J: and I:
Then one day using disk management I "quick formatted" the HD into one single block. Then I correctly used the taskbar to eject/remove this external USB HD.
Now my problem is that every time I start my PC I see J: and I: inside "My Computer" folder even though NO external HD is connected to the PC. I can use the taskbar to
"safely remove..." this ghost non existent HD but it reappears when I restart the PC.
How can I permanently stop this non existent HD J: and I: from reappearing?
Btw disk managment shows correctly only the HDs that are really in the system ie. it does not show this ghost non-existent HD.
