TridenT: Since I already have service, do I really need a "self-install kit" when there's really nothing to install?

Mariejo: That is not necessary. We just need to upgrade your internet service remotely.

Mariejo: For security purposes, may I please have your account number or the last four of your SSN?

Mariejo: Thanks.

TridenT: Ok. And if you can remove the extra $4/$10 a month charge that was added on there then that would be nice. It seems I won't need it anymore.

Mariejo: Upon reviewing your account, it shows that your internet service is already upgraded to Blast.

Mariejo: That is the added service for Blast package. It only costs $4.00 a month.

TridenT: Well, it's $62/month for what is being shown. I'm being charged $68.

TridenT: That's with a "discount."

Mariejo: Your package costs $64.95 a month. And the upgraded Blast service has an additional $4.00 a month.

TridenT: I see.

TridenT: Anyway, the option I was being provided online showed I could pay $62 and be done.

Mariejo: If you want, I can go ahead and give you a free Blast service for 3 months.

TridenT: Well, the service I am trying to get includes blast and is $62.

Mariejo: I am sorry, TridenT, because the package you have chosen is not available in your market.

Mariejo: The one available here costs $74.95 a month.

TridenT: Just give me the 3 free months if you can't give me the $62 package because of some rule.

I'm annoyed. I thought I'd get to save $3-$10 a month on my service and get faster speeds. Stupid.
 
Our bill jumped $30 with no change in services. Called them and asked for a 1 year rate reduction which they gave me. Dropped by monthly bill by $52.
 
TridenT, never do Comcast chat, speak to retentions department directly.

The people at the chat rooms are the lowest scum on earths king $1/hour. They have no authority and the "lag" in the chat room is because they are dealing with several people at once.

NEVER EVER pay standard fee on cable. Call retention department and demand it gets lowered.
