I went to Sam's today and bought a box of paper and left the damned thing in the cart. I just realized when I got home today... $17 down the drain.

Someone else is typing on my paper! 🙁

When I worked as a cart guy at sams, the energizer battery packs (usually size AAA) were found frequently in the carts. If we found them we took them back to the service desk, but I dont know how they handled those things (kept them there, put it back on shelf, etc)
 
Cool, I'll go back tomorrow and see if either someone turned it in (I doubt it) or one of the cart wranglers turned it in.

Wooohoo, I dropped by today and explained what happened and the manager said she'd let me drop by and pickup another box o' paper when I have my reciept with me. At first the girl at the counter was saying "Sorry, sir, once you pay for it, it's your problem! It's your responsibility to make sure you've got everything with you." Which to a point is true, but I've gone many times where the cashires have forgotten to give me stuff like a phone card and I have to ask for it as I was walking away.

Anyway, one of the many reasons I love Sam's.
 
Last time I went to Sam's, someone left a case of Budweiser in the cart next to our truck.
