Hate driving tests

Just a quick rant 'cos I'm mighty pi$$ed off:

I've been riding motorbike for the past 7 years and passed my IAM (Institute of advanced motorists).

However I still need to do my car test.

First you have to do a theory 30 of 35 questions; I got 35 🙂
then a hazzard awareness touch screen video; Full marks again 🙂
then wait for 6 weeks to book the practicle car test.

Woohoo: test day (I'm a very good driver; been taught by class 2 police instructors, done my IAM and pass plus: I've raced cars on the track, driven them on the road for around 3 years (provesional license) and attended motorway attequete classes).

Here's how the end of the test went:



Examiner: "That was a realy good drive, smooth, observant, one of the easiest to mark"
E: "I'm sorry to say, this time, you've failed"
E: Do you know why?"
Monkey: "I havn't a clue!!"
E: "You hasitated during a 3 point turn"
M: "Possibly...............maybe........perhaps it could have something do with....some stuipid Fvck wit, in a "boy'd-up" XR4x4, beeelching out crappy '90's German-Techno-Trance-$hitty-Dance-B0llocks. storming around the road to find me half way through the three point turn?? Which caused me to stop the car to see if he will be patient and wait or and storm past me. Low and behold he shoots passed me....<.. Impatient little fvck wit...>"
E: "better luck next time.."
M: :|


Now I have to take the theory again;
and the hazzard awareness
and book a F'ing time when it suits me at work

I have to say that does indeed suck, but..... I really wish we had strict laws like that here in the U.S. There are so many teeny-bop punk-a$$ drivers out here that get their license by driving around the block once. Then they are licensed to drive anywhere in the U.S.

I've heard rumours that the examiners have pass and fail a certain number of people in a month - I'm getting a suspician that they had to fail me regardless of how good I was at driving.

It's a piece of piss, easy, but I'm pissed at the hassle of having to book it to sail through with full marks for no f'ing reason.

Canadian law is a pain too. Once you take the learners and pass with 80% you have to wait 6 months before you can book a drivers test and then a year to get your full licence and be able to drive with more than one other person in your vehicle.

You don't have to retake the theory, just the practical (the part you failed).
I failed my first test (one stupid mistake, I'd pulled in to the side of the road and was too close to the car in front and nearly hit it and, I knew I'd failed. Then I messed up on the 3 point turn, hitting the curb, mostly because I was pissed and knew I'd failed, and apparently didn't check my mirrors once).
I have my retest next week (next Wednesday), and I'm not looking forward to it 🙁
