Do this suppose Skylake is coming faster than ever or Intel is simply skipping Broadwell into PC?
Intel is skipping Broadwell, besides the recently added K model. The issue is simply production capacity of the new node. When production is high enough, Skylake comes. And Skylake will hit all segments the same time. But you will see this exact same case again with the first 10nm products. Since desktop is last in queue. (Unless the market somehow drasticly changed since.)
