Hi. Which Haswell (desktop) motherboards support Full Disk Encryption (FDE) in BIOS for SSD ?

The motherboard I bought a few days ago for my new system based on the i7-4770k which is the Gigabyte X87Z-UD5H supports the Trusted Platform Module which is a prerequisite for what you want with regard an SSD.

Of course the performance of an encrypted SSD will fall through the floor as far as I can see.

So would that put a traditional hard drive through the subfloor? lol.

Never mind the hard drive, you might as well plan for your retirement if you ever decide to burn your backup to a Blu-Ray rewitable disk :D

in skimming the manual for the Gigabyte 87Z motherboard.... I don't see any mention of HDD encryption. I think TPM is different than bios level FDE for SSDs
