Hello, I am moving into a small 2 floor house for school this coming semester and I need to buy a wireless adapter for my desktop in order to recieve internet. I will be on the top floor if that makes any difference but I shouldn't be more than 100 feet from the wireless router. I'll also be quite honest with you I know literally nothing about networking.
I am looking for something cheap, but more importantly simple and hassle free. I'm looking for an adapter that just requires me to install drivers, not a bunch of software. Reliability is also a concern as I have read on newegg that some adapters drop signal.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, personal experiences are what I would love to hear!
Thanks!
