Has your site ever been slashdotted ?

Not "my site," but a site I work for. When it happened we were on a shared server with relatively limited bandwidth. After slashdot CRASHED the whole server and the hosting company had to send a tech to reset it :Q we upgraded to a dedicated machine w/a lot more bandwidth. But then after we got listed on digg a week ago and that traffic brought our server to a slow, we upgraded to dual Xeon's :Q

Just a few minor incidences where our site was referenced in some posts, but not a full fledged /.

CNN, Clark Howard, MSNBC, NY Times - Yes 😛

Yep - back in Febuary the site in my sig got it. I posted about it here, but given the current state of the forums I'm not even going to try to do a search.

We didn't have any problems - it's a good dedicated machine, and I suspect satellite ephemeris data has a far smaller following the game consoles 😛

Not my site, by SPCR got nailed a few times in the past, so they had to upgrade/add a lot of sever power to keep it from happening again. Funny thing is, if they link to a pc "silencing" article on another website, poster will jump in, says it's not very goo/sucks, and tells everyone to go to SPCR instead.
