Has your father or mother ever told you about their past relationships in any detail?

For as long as I can remember my father and I have been more like best friends than father and son. Over the years he has mentioned some of his previous GFs before meeting my mother. Never very much but enough over the years that I know a certain amount of detail and some of it not PG 13, nothing in detail or creepy of course though.

Any one else talked to their parents openly about their previous SOs in any detail?

My dad sit me and my sister down one day, and told us the story of how he met our mother... boy, was it a long story!

My parents were HS sweethearts, no real SOs prior to each other. Next year will be their 40th anniversary.

I've mentioned one person I dated to my kids - a model that I dated; went to a jazz concert with her. I wonder how many days she sat at the table wondering when I'd come back. (A 5 year old could carry on a better conversation.) In hindsight, it was probably rude, but that's sort of like the argument "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

I half expected this to be a Fuzzy thread.

My dad hasn't really talked about past relationships other than when i listen to "Crazy B*tch" by Buck Cherry or "She's got Issues" by the Offspring. You can imagine how those conversations went.
