They've been borderline over-the-top lately with the Barletts MS storyline, Penn and Teller burning a flag in the White House, etc., and now this.
They could've done a great story line just sticking to the fact that Barlett is in his last term, and exploring where his staff is going when he's gone (like the plot with Josh finding his allegiances among the presidential candidates.) Instead, they focus the plot on asteroids...
Have you actually seen the episode? I saw the commercial and I'm betting that it actually ends up being some sort of NASA fanboy lobbyist or something along those lines.
they jumped the shark after last season, after Sorkin left.
don't get me wrong, I still watch the show, but mostly because a) it's not outright terrible, b) I still have some attachment to most of the characters, and c) there's nothing better on at that time period. I'm also kind of interested to see if they're going to try and push the show's shelf life anoyher couple years.
Ah so. Thanks for allowing me to continue my laziness
I wasn't sure if it was something that specifically related to the show or what.
I've never watched it.
Too bad "jump the shark" is simply an idiot mishearing "jump the track" (which actually means something) and repeating it ad infinitum.
It's like mishearing a song lyric and then no matter what anyone says, still singing it wrong.
