Has UPS made changes?

Their level of service has gone way up in my area lately. Wondered if this was widespread or just here. I get 10-20 packages per week and this week they have been leaving them at the door, and even last night re-attempted delivery for me at 6:30PM. This is highly unusual for me, 90% of the time I have to go chase the packages down on my own.

I think competition has made them step up.
