Has this monitor been released yet?

It's been 3 years since Alienware showed off this monitor...yet I haven't really heard anything about it.

Why?

that thing looks horrible. you can see the lines where I guess the separate displays actually meet.

you could just buy one of those 2560x1080 (21:9) televisions for gaming. at least that would be better for movies and other stuff too. the curved 2880x900 monitor would just be annoying to me when not gaming on it.
