I bought a candy bar (Look Bar if you were wondering) from Rite Aid couple of weeks ago and I started eating it and when i got about 1/4 through the bar I saw something fall out of the wrapper I figured it was a nut. My brother walked in and looked at the table I was eating at and saw a worm crawling around. After thinking for a minute I peeled the wrapper back more and looked at the bottom of my candy bar and saw a crack with a lot of brown dust on the edges. I broke it open and found a bunch of little larva worms inside the candy bar eating the nuts inside. Never eat a look bar without inspecting it first! Learn from my mistake.
guess thats why they call it a look bar, gotta look before you eat.

Has anyone ever had an experience like this before? I'd like to know :)

I ate about a third of a package of raisins before I saw the rest of the package completely filled with worms. I've been cautious of packaged raisings ever since.

worms are very rich in proteins, thailand people eat worms, crickets and grasshoppers as their regular diets........ crickets and such are from the same family as crab and lobster.....

Man...you're rich! Get a lawyer and head back there with "psychological trauma" since you're now afraid to eat anything else ;)

Wow, this is terribly gross. I think I am going to loose my breakfast :Q

I am very glad I don't eat candy bars, but now I have to throw away my boxes of raisins - thanks for the heads up I suppose ...

Are you sure they worms were not maggots in the candy bar? The saw dust residue sounds like maggots. Eewww!

i would own the Look company after an incident like that, or at least get candy bars for life.

I ate a pre packaged meatball sandwich from a roach coach during high school and after I ate about 1/2 of it, I noticed the bottomed part of it was gnawed on and eaten by rats/mice. I just broke off the part close to it and finished it.

Spoken like a true man. I remember doing the same thing in High School.

Although I never saw any worms or bugs in my food. I am sure I would not eat that. Probably ever again.

Anybody remember Reggie bars? They were named after Reggie Jackson.

A similar incident happened to me years ago (showing my age here) but fortunately I saw the little maggots before I took a bite.
