Has there? Every parody I see always sucks. It's probally a once-in-a-blue-moon occurance, or the result of a single, talented member, but I have yet to see one.

Links?

There was one that got me. Basically the OPs username was MartyMcfly or something like that. He just basically spouted some of the plot of one of the "Back to the Future" movies. I felt so stupid but I was a n00b then. What am I talking about? I am still a n00b.

I remember the day that a bunch of people here in OT got threads dedicated to them because of some guy that dedicated a thread to that person. It was like cheers to that person or something. It was great. That was alot of parody threads. Not all of them got locked though.

I remember there was a thread dedicated to ATOT's women posters. And then there were boatloads of parodies afterwards. The one that really got me laughing was I think "To the proud belgians of ATOT" or something like that.

I remember those. The candians had one, I think most countries or areas had one. Ah, good times

How successful do you consider successful? A parody that no one recognizes as a parody...is that successful?

Yeah, I didn't participate in that one. The mods had given me a stern no parodies warning after I made that "24 retarded premature babies kept in 1x2' pig cages" parody that was sparked by a bunch of bizarre reposts on the same news story. It was pretty funny though, and I figured it was going to play out exactly like it did when I saw the original thread.

I think a successful parody is one that makes everyone laugh, not one that no one recognizes as a parody. There have been quite a few. Most parodies are pretty lame, but some also serve the greater good of letting the OP of the original thread realize how lame their original thread was.
I can safely say, this thread won't be parodied successfully.

Naw, there's nothing to work with.

I dunno. I think a successful parody makes people laugh but also has them guess whether it was a parody at all.

That was somewhat successful in being somewhat amusing AND showing the OP what a tard he was for asking the original question.

See thats funny, but its also obvious.

I show you how its done here. :p Keep in mind you know its a parody though.
