Has there been a movie plot like this?

Every man has their idols.. JAlba, Kristen Kreuk, so on...

Wouldn't it be an interesting romance movie if the plot was as follows:

A man and his GF is in a serious relationship, but just like any man, he's always had a soft spot for one particular celebrity. On one night, he meets that celebrity and they actually end up hitting it off quite well.

Now he's split between being with his GF vs his idol whom he's been worshipping for quite some time. She also genuinely digs him as well.

The movie is played with a bit of serious undertone. Wouldn't be a chick flick, but something with a message in the end...

What do you think?

It's superficial, has plenty of infidelity, and the door is wide open for a cliched ending. I say it's a formula for success in the genre!

Doesn't seem too much different than if instead of a celebrity it was another random girl.

I like it. My GF and I joke about who our "free pass" celebrity is. Might be interesting to see what would happen if the hypothetical became real.

IIRC, there was a Bollywood movie just like this.

If you know anything about Bollywood movies, you know how good your idea is. ;)

Does it have:
1) Helicopters (motorcycle chase works as well)
2) Gun fights, including slo-mo casing flying through the air
3) Nudity.
4) Profanity
5) Drug use, or substitute with more nudity
6) Gruesome wounds

That's exactly what Hollywood needs, Chick flicks with naked helicoptor gunfights to keep the guys entertained. Brilliant!
