Has the valet ever stolen anything from your car?

While in NYC this past weekend, the valet stole a $10 roll of quarters from the center console. Some people are going to say that I shouldn't have left it there in the first place - you simply can't take every single thing out of your car when you get to the hotel. If it hadn't been the quarters, it would have been cds or something else.

My wife was pretty mad about it, but what can you do when you have no proof?

Complain. Yeah, you can't prove it and you won't get the roll back, but at least management will be informed. If enough complaints are issued, then they'll obviously know he's scum, and they'll bag him.

I guess I forgot to mention it, but there were several guys who worked for the valet service. It could have been any or all of them.

Report him to his manager. Eventually if enough complaints are made, they'll "hopefully" take action.

True, but in the end that doesn't really help me.

There's nothing you can do to get yor $10 back, but you might aswell help the next people from get screwed like this.

No but John London was talking about how he found a wet spot on his car seat that was leaned back more after the Valet gave him the keys and he got in.

I'd be suspicious of the guy who you gave your keys to. ~_~
