Has the US found any Iraqi WMDs or ties to terrorism yet?

I have not been keeping track of the Iraqi war story lately. Have any of Bush's justifications for invading Iraq been found to be true?

Nothing of note. Maybe someone once stored a can of insecticide improperly once, but this war was not about WMDs anyway. It was about whooping the azz of someone Bush didn't like, and making Americans feel empowered after 9/11. Metaphorically, if you shoot someone who is a real bastard, you can always make the case that it was justified. Just keep saying how bad he was, and ignore that you shot him

So far the only ties they have found were in a palace that Saddam had in Tikrit.
One was a necktie that Saddam wore when he had his picture taken,
and the other was a bow-tie that Sleazy and Queezy used to wear with knickers.

The fact that no WMD, nuclear or otherwise, no terrorist ties, and no threat to our security has been found bothers the hell out of me.

Why did we invade Iraq?

Doesn't trouble me in the least.

Saddam is finally getting what he had coming to him since the first Gulf War.

For 12 years Iraq failed to live up to UN Security Council resolutions, thumbing his nose at the entire international community. War could have been averted if he simply let the weapons inspectors and international monitors do their job.

We are in the middle east today, finishing a job that should have been done 12 years ago. Props to Bush for stepping up to the plate and making the tough decision to get the job done.

If we don't show the rest of the world that we are willing to follow through on our committments, then future efforts at diplomacy will become pointless.

It troubles me a great deal, that our administration had to use lies and deception to justify going to war. Than the administration badly understimate the amount of money (around 600 billion now) and time required to rebuild Iraq, not to mention their diplomacy or lackthere of.

Not to mention the amount of Iraqi lives and as well as American soldiers that loss their lives in the war greatly disturbs me.

If Iraq would have simply come clean, letting the international monitors and weapons inspectors do their job, would there have been any doubt as to the existence of WMDs?

UN inspectors were in Iraq, inspecting, up until the eve of war. They left for fear of their safety...

Furthermore I seem to recall Blix giving Saddam a 'B' for cooperation.

It may not be perfect, but more than Bush ever got. ;)

Hans blix said he beleived saddam still had WMD, granted he gave his report after the war started so it wasn't publicised.
How did bush lie to us?
and they found a big tie to terrorisim in one of the muslim leaders houses with plans to attack the US, weapons, and lots of money. Fox had a story on this.

that said this war could have been about WMD, or terrorism. but what it really did was show all the middle eastern nations we aren't the pansys that were in office 4 or so years ago. if we would have won in Vietnam(had the people supported it) we could have avoided this whole north korea thing. but most americans dont see the big picture and believe what ever CNN tells them

Fox only claims to be "fair and balanced", not accurate. :)

But it seems that he had to use deceit to get the majority of Americans to back this action.
