Apparently after 15-20 years of Republican policy being outrage and demonize anyone who doesn't agree with you. Attack them. Destroy them. They are out to destroy you type responses Republicans just automatically respond in this way.

In other words, the Rovian idea that the right will win elections by being as extremist as possible, as least civil as possible and crying doom and gloom if anyone dares to cross them is now ingrained in Republicans. Hey, it worked for quite awhile. But now that it is no longer working, Republicans can't stop.

It seems for a day or two they held their tongues after the election. But they are back with their "learned responses".

Will it ever be possible to break the Pavlovian training the right has performed on its base? Or should we just not try and eventually just let them die off?

Darn Democrat hypocrits such as the OP.

Gives the Democrat part something to shoot for as a whole. What a beacon of light
