Has the quality of eBay trading improved since its inception?

Its awful..

Sellers just dont care anymore.

Half of them wont leave feedback if you leave then less then positive feedback, sometimes they dont even leave feedback. Some even leave you neg/neutral feedback if you did for them.

50% of them do NOT respond to emails.

I have been waiting on one package for 2 weeks.

and another for 3.

yeah, i'm not bitter :I

I am getting owned lately with 0 feedback bidder who BIN my items.

I think competitors of similar auctions like to open new account and screw my BIN auctions over.
Also, Ebay double charges seller with Paypal.
They need to lower the fee because Ebay takes a huge chunk of money on expensive item.

yeah, its ridiculous how much money they take out... first from ebay then from paypal... but not as bad as amazon i bet...

haven't been burned yet, but i've only had about 40 transactions... and yeah, ppl who don't leave feedback after you leave them a positive is downright annoying

Seriously, pass on the 1000+ sellers w/2% negs; they don't care. They're on ebay because they failed at a real website/brick-n-mortar business. Find the sellers with very few or no negs (or neutrals) and/or read the feedbacks of those negs/neuts. Also, read the descriptions; you can smell an idiot from 2000 miles away by misuse of a couple of verbs or wrong descriptions. You can also tell if a seller is honest by their wording AND by their feedback. It's the same as AT FS/T. Just because eBay is flashy and expensive looking, it doesn't mean the sellers are all honest. Just look at our pResident...

yeah, i hate how ppl leave such glowing feedback when a simple "got item quickly, good packaging, good communication" would be more helpful... how can you give someone "A+++++++ I GUARANTEE TOP NOTCH 100% SELLER" on the basis of your one stupid transaction...
