Zeke demanding that the Nets give him $19 million AND RELEASE him so he can go play for a contender. WTF is THAT?

Sprewell, i can't feed my family on $65 million. WTF

The greed will continue as long as the owners are willing to meet the players requests... let's hope Zo and Sprewell don't get what they want.

sorry have you seen any sort of ratings whatsoever the past couple of years. No one cares anymore, for good reason. This is sad for me to say because I used to like basketball. I cringe everytime I see a 20 million/year player miss another 10 foot jumper

I'm hoping the embarassment suffered in the Olympics will be an eye-opener for the NBA (and American hoops in general.) There's more to the game than just having great athletes that can only make flashy cutting moves and dunks. People that grew up on today's game would argue a more balanced game with outside shooting is boring, but I'd argue that having teams that can actually shoot well is a great equalizer and actually creates more dramatic games as you're never out of it if you can shoot the ball well.

ESPN and the networks need to do their part and stop paying so much homage to the dunk and figure out a way to give more props to the guys nailing down the outside shots. Until we start encouraging kids (and current players) to develop a more complete game they're going to continue to mimic the highlights of the pros.
