I'm currently using Xp because when I try to run BF2 on Vista 64 or 32 it plays perfect while in game, but when it loads a new map it always CTD. I've heard it was an issue with 4gb systems like mine. But since I haven't used vista in a while I was wondering if that problem had been fixed? That's really the only thing stopping me from going to vista at the moment...

I believe it's crash or close to the desktop or something
With 1942 on vista I tried a few ways what seem to work best is installing the game to a folder outside of the program files folder. I have issues with the maps not loading on some servers but that's pretty much it

I have 4GB of Ram in Vista Ultimate x64. It either loads wicked fast, or PunkBuster says that the data has been modified, and I have to reload the map, though I can do all that before the round even starts.

CTD is a bit frickin obscure.

Do you mean Crash to Desktop? Is that happening so much in BF2 that they've actually acronymed it???

i don't know where "CTD" acronym became popular first, but personally I first saw it being used commonly on a BF2 forum, uh, even I started using it due to some unresolved problems which have partly killed some of the interest I had in BF2.
