Knowing that most the movies he creates are not his original ideas, does he just do what Hollywood gives him the chance to do?

I agree he makes some wonderful movies, but my friend was discussing with me that he just does it for the money nowadays.
 
I think he does what he wants. The man certainly has more money than most in the industry and a major share in Dreamworks.

His film choices in the last few years have been kind of weak though.
