Something kinda funny is that YES it was a typo but I also misspoke. SO it's kinda the same deal.

How was my post "combative"?

It's a bug, LOUISSSSS. They really are 6.8

Its not a bug. Its a typo. CM said it was his mistake, and he will update the drivers.

Its not being picky, its being factual. Its in no way a bug. Its a wrong stroke of the keyboard. Just if you were to make a typo in a post here.

Again, how in the world can you call my posts, combative. If you took it that way, its your fault. There is zero "combativeness" in my posts. If anything, you were being, saying I am picky, and yelling (using caps) Its not being picky, its calling it like it is.

Same deal? Its a typo, simple as that.

edit, Im washing my hands of this. Its pretty obvious my posts were not "combative" in any shape or form.

Yeah, I'm going to try to get the Mods to close this thread. It's way too off topic.

At least my question was answered, though. ^^

So I just replaced a 6800 with an X1900XT, and I'm having a bit of trouble with scaling. My LCD's built-in scaler isn't so hot, so on the 6800 I had the video card do the scaling instead. With the X1900XT however, I can't seem to pull this off. When I'm in CCC and set it to scale the image to the panel, it's not working, instead it's still sending a lower-resolution signal that the panel is scaling. What do I need to do to get video card scaling working?

ViRGE, the two scaling options in ATI's drivers are "Scale to full panel size" and "Use centered timings", right?

"Scale to full panel size" should make the ATI card scale the lower-than-native-resolution image to your LCD's native resolution before outputting the image.

"Use centered timings" should make the ATI card send out a completely unscaled lower-than-native-resolution image and have your LCD do whatever it wants with it, or whatever you tell your LCD to do.

From what you are saying, it sounds like when you select "Scale to full panel size", the drivers try to do what would happen with "Use centered timings". This may be a bug with the drivers you are using, or maybe you should try selecting "Use centered timings" and see if that actually does what would happen with "Scale to full panel size". Beyond that, I really have no clue what could be wrong. :)

Both of them seem to be doing the "Use centered" method, even when I select the scaling option. This is the 6.8 cats, BTW.

Hmm...Maybe you should make your own topic about it. This thread is pretty much dead, and I can't seem to think of a way I can help you. It probably has an easy fix, whatever it is, though. :)

Hello,

I just bought a Dell 2007WFP.
The "use centered timings" option (image scaling) doesn't work with Catalyst 5.13 and Catalyst 6.8.
May be 6.9 beta is the solution ?
