Has Outside Loop thrown me for a loop??

I just received my order from Outside Loop. It was supposed to be an AYHJA 1.33/266. What I got was an AXIA '9' week 24 1.33/266. Should I send this back and get the AYHJA that I ordered in the first place or might this be as good a CPU as the AYHJA would be?

The rig I'm building includes the Gigabyte GA-7DXR, Corsair 256MB PC2400 DDR, and the Vantec CCK 6035D hsf. I would like to OC to the 1.5- 1.6GHz range and I'm wondering if my chances are just as good with this missent cpu as with the AYHJA that I actually ordered??

Thanks for any suggestions

well, what do you think???

it will cost the shipping again, what does your receipt say???

if it was me, i would send it back and get the AYHJA, currently a very good clocking cpu.

Reading around this forum and others I have seen that the AYHJA overclocks higher in most circumstances. I would send it back.

they should have emailed or contacted you first with a choice of either cpu replacement or your money back, as they couldnt supply the cpu you originally agreed to buy from them. Youre within your rights to return the cpu to them or at least ask them to replace it with one of the stepping you both agreed upon at the initial time of sale.

Good Luck.

FYI I have compiled a list of online pretested cpu vendors here, Hope its of use to you and fellow anandtechers in the future.
